Ryan Ahnberg is the most professional, courteous, polite, kind, knowledgeable plumber in and around San Antonio. He explained what he does, and why, and satisfied my curiosity on the various steps he took to get to the bottom of this complicated plumbing issue. If you need a reliable, experienced plumber that loves his trade and has a great eye for detail and follow up and follow through, look no further. Ryan is your guy! Benjamin Franklin is lucky to have him onboard!

I was very impressed and appreciative how fast they responded and came to address the issue with my water heater. From the initial call and thereafter everyone was very professional and responsive to my needs. Ethan was very courteous and professional when he arrived. He quickly diagnosed the issue and took care of it. He explained what he was going to do and also had some helpful suggestions. I highly recommend them.

From start to finish this company was fantastic. The scheduler was friendly and attentive, she was quick to gather my information and put in an emergency repair request. Also, as time past, I received regular updates as to when the plumber would be headed my way and an update when he had actually began his drive to my home. Ethan showed up, he was extremely friendly and professional. He advised me of other service options and was respectful of the fact that I'm just looking for the band aid fix so I can replace the water heater in a few months. Ken, his manager, also stopped by to make sure Ethan had help if he needed it. Ken was also extremely friendly and answered my questions about replacing the water heater in the future. It was refreshing to have a company not trying to hard press you into selling you more than you can afford at the time. All around, this company was a great experience. I'll be using the Benjamin Franklin for all my plumbing needs in the future as well as the water heater replacement. I will also be recommending this company to everyone that has any plumbing needs.

Alvin and his team are just who you want to show up when you have a plumbing issue. They are kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt! Alvin has been to our home several times and it is awesome that in the 7th largest city in the country, one can still maintain the same type of personal experience one gets in a small town where everyone knows each other. Super grateful !! Thanks, Alvin (and your team)

Homer came out and did a full house inspection on our plumbing system. He pointed out different things. He made suggestions. He gave a written estimate. He pointed out the important items we may want to address now. I was impressed with the process of the inspection . It was like a house inspection but with a company that is trained in plumbing. He was very professional. We will consider his recommendations.

Plumbing FAQs

What routine maintenance should I be doing for my San Antonio water heater?

To keep your water heater running smoothly in San Antonio, it’s a good idea to flush the tank once a year to clear out sediment, especially if your area has hard water. Check the pressure relief valve, inspect for rust or leaks, and make sure the thermostat is set to a safe temperature (usually around 120°F). Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your unit and keeps your hot water flowing efficiently. For peace of mind, consider scheduling a professional inspection with a local plumber.

How do I know if I need a San Antonio plumber for my home's low water pressure?

If your water pressure suddenly drops or only affects certain fixtures in your San Antonio home, it could be a sign of a clogged pipe, leak, or a problem with your water supply. Try cleaning faucet aerators first, but if the issue persists, it’s best to call a licensed plumber in San Antonio to diagnose and fix the problem before it gets worse.

Do you offer emergency plumbing service in San Antonio?

We are available 24/7 to take your call for emergencies. Our appointment hours are listed above.

How often should I schedule drain cleaning for my San Antonio property?

For most homes in San Antonio, scheduling professional drain cleaning once a year helps prevent clogs, odors, and costly backups. If your property has older pipes, large trees nearby, or frequent slow drains, you may need service more often. Regular maintenance keeps your plumbing flowing smoothly and protects your home from unexpected issues.

Do you offer plumbing financing in San Antonio?

We have built relationships with several lenders to ensure our customers are able to restore functionality in their homes. Ask your technician about your financing options.

Are there plumbing upgrades that can help conserve water in my San Antonio home?

Yes! Upgrading to low-flow toilets, water-saving showerheads, and high-efficiency faucets can significantly reduce water use in your San Antonio home. You can also install smart leak detectors and tankless water heaters for added efficiency. A local plumber can recommend the best options based on your home’s setup and water usage habits.

What are common plumbing issues in older San Antonio homes?

Older homes in San Antonio often face plumbing issues like corroded or outdated pipes, low water pressure, and frequent leaks. You might also encounter problems with old fixtures, sewer line deterioration, or poor drainage. A professional inspection can help identify hidden issues and recommend upgrades to keep your plumbing system safe and efficient.

What should I do to prepare my plumbing for winter in San Antonio?

To get your plumbing ready for winter in San Antonio, start by insulating exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas like basements and garages. Disconnect outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines, and check your water heater for optimal performance. It’s also smart to know where your main shut-off valve is in case of a frozen pipe emergency.

How can I tell if my sewer line is damaged in San Antonio?

Signs of a damaged sewer line in your TX home include frequent drain clogs, foul odors, soggy spots in your yard, and gurgling sounds from your toilets or drains.
